Old WEBBER-SHAW-POMEROY-COVELL handwritten genealogy! And old Webber Genealogy book found on ebay. They have description of the lot of handwritten genealogy items on the page. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5607139621 Or do a search on ebay for item number: 5607139621 Never know, you may just have some family history in their store. They have alot of family history books and cd's. Hope it helps, Jamie
Thank you for sending this to the list. Two of the surnames (Webber and Pomeroy) are used, in my SHAW family, as middle names for male ancestors. Sadly, the locations differ. My SHAW bunch came into NC, to KY and IL. Other of their siblings went to MO, TX, AL, and MS. I hope the right family finds it. ginny ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamie" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 17, 2005 3:49 PM Subject: [SHAW] Old WEBBER-SHAW handwritten genealogy w/old genealogy book on ebay! > Old WEBBER-SHAW-POMEROY-COVELL handwritten genealogy! Hi Ginny, Seeing that your SHAW bunch came into NC, makes me wonder if there might be a connection with us. We were told that our line of Shaws landed either in Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA. We've traced back to Jasper Shaw (1832-1885) in Cherokee, NC - but have had no luck finding his parents. Been searching for over 18 months now, even driving to NC (we live in Michigan) and taking photos of Jasper's grave. He served in the Civil War. Beginning to wonder if he just dropped out of the sky and didn't really have parents (giggle). Any suggestions?
