Let's focus in May on the hunt for our "lost" ancestors whose given names started with I & J. Any and all others inquiries are welcome, also. Please try to identify area (ie: Country, State, County) and time frame (born, died, wed, etc.) And if you missed: A & B in January, C & D in February, E & F in March, G & H in April, those inquiries are welcome, too! My great-grandfather was John H. SHAW; I know he was born in 1845 and died in 1911; I do not know who his parents were, or if they immigrated from another country. I know my great-grandmother's name was (supposedly) Sarah Elizabeth SMITH, born in 1852 and died in 1934; she was always known as Libby. I believe her father was Ezra Smith, but I do not know, definately, who her mother was. I also don't know where Libby was born or where her parents were born. Any help would be most appreciated!
