Hi All, Searching for any SHAW in Chicopee, MA. My paternal grandmother was a Maggie SHAW, from Banbridge, Co. Down, N. Ireland. In 1904 her brother Thomas SHAW immigrated to Chicopee, Mass. His wife Jenny, ms MARTIN, and their three children, George, Ruby and Winifred, followed in 1905. Two more children were born in the USA. As far as I know their son William George SHAW was the only one to have moved from the area, eventually living in California for most of his life. He died in 1997. He was married to LaVerda MOODY, who comes from Arizona. I spoke to her a few weeks ago, but she does not have any contact with the rest of the SHAW family. She is now 98! Someone on this site mentioned a reunion of Massachusetts SHAWs due to happen shortly, so hopefully someone will connect with 'my' SHAW family. Regards to all, David Chambers, Newtownards, Co.
