Mr Shaw taught at the College of Commerce, Kansas City, in the 1930's. He was principal of the Centerview, MO Elementary School in 1950's and was superintendent of Johnson County, MO, schools for 16 years, retiring in 1968. Later he farmed and raised cattle. He was a lay minister at the Wesly Chapel Church, Holden, MO. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Centerview. He was an Army veteran of World War II, Mr Shaw was a graduate of Central Missouri State Teacher College, Warrensburg, and held a master's degree in teaching from the college. He was born in El Dorado Springs, MO; lived in Kansas City in the late 1930's; and had lived in Warrensburg since 1946. Survivors include his wife, Opal Shaw of the home; a foster daughter, Barbara Gray, Windsor, MO; a brother, Cleo Shaw, Warrensburg; a sister, Gladys Rogers, Independence; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 P.M., Wednesday at the Sweeny-Phillips Chapel, Warrensburg; burial in the Centerview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 P.M. today at the chapel.
