Hi, I am new to the list and am trying to gather info on my SHAW line. Facts I know: Ella Louise SHAW b. 25 DEC 1899 in Joliet, IL, d. 02 JAN 1990 in Ocala, FL, daughter of Stuart Albert SHAW b. abt 1879 d. abt 1965 + or -, and Emma F. GREEN b. 27 SEP 1880 in Brooklyn NY. Stuart Albert SHAW and Emma F. GREEN also had a son Stuart Leroy, and Raymond Edgar an infant that died with in his first year of life. Emma Green SHAW divorced and married Henry E. JACKSON but there were no children from this marriage. I know that Emma and Henry JACKSON were living in Kalamazoo MI in 1920 because my mother was born in their house that same year. I found a Stuart SHAW in the 1880 Joliet IL census with father Alexander SHAW, mother Ameilia, brother George, and sister Bertha. I believe this is probably my Stuart Albert SHAW because my Mother remembers her Grandmother, Emma Green SHAW, speaking of Stuart Albert SHAW's Mother as being Amelia Ludeviski BROWN. I can't, however, seem to find any more info on Alexander SHAW which the census says was born in NY abt. 1843 and that his parents were also born in NY. Does this SHAW line look familiar to anyone out there? I would appreciate any and all info on this line.
