Carol, I have the given/middle names George and Griffin(th) throughout my Shaw ancestors. The farthest back I have been able to go is Freeman Shaw born 1811 in Ohio and his sister, Mary Paulina born about 1804 (supposedly in Maine). Both siblings married Keever siblings. Any chance we can compare notes on your line.
