Sylvester Shaw was born on Sep. 4. 1855 in Auglaize Co., Ohio and died in Wapakoneta , which is the county seat for Auglaize Co., Ohio on Oct. 22, 1925 He married Hannah C. Parlett on Sep. 25, 1877 in Auglaize Co., she was born on Nov.12, 1856 there and died on April 2, 1902 in Uniopolis, Auglaize Co., Ohio They had 6 children Raymond Shaw - no data Bertha May Shaw born Aug. 8, 1878 married to James A Baber with 3 known children Leonard L. Shaw born Oct. 21, 1881 and died May 2, 1955 in Auglaize Co., Ohio Ellen Shaw born Jan. 28, 1882 married Dead Rodwick , she died Sep. 20, 1953 in Alameda Co., California Tura Jane Jeanette Shaw born July 27, 1886 married Charles E. Herrmann with 1 child Ralph Eugene Shaw born June 10, 1889 died in California data and place unknown. But I would check Alameda Co., California . Families often ventured "out west" together. As to the parents of Sylvester Shaw and his siblings they were 4th cousins once removed to me and this is what I have entered thus far in my lap top, although a ton of other data remains. Turton who was born on March 17, 1816 in Maryland and died Jan 17, 1893 in Auglaize Co., Ohio They were parents of 10 known children and no Levi Shaw among them... Ann M. Shaw 1836 Alexander Shaw born March 18, 1838 married to Maria Crider ( Another large family) Albert Neal Shaw born Nov. 4, 1839 married Barbara Graf Harriet Jane Shaw born 1844 married James Burden Mary Louise Shaw born June 26, 1846 married twice once to a Mr. Sillin and her other spouse wasDaniel Delong. William E. Shaw born on Feb 24, 1848 in Auglaize Co., ( Now a brand new county ) married Mary R. Reichelderfer on April 20, 1876 there also Isaiah Shaw born May 26, 1850 married Mary Lump with 5 children ) husband & wife buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Auglaize Co., Ohio. You will need either track shoes for this cemetery or a good bike . Many acres of graves Caroline Shaw born May 16, 1852 married Mr Smith Then after Sylvester came Henry Shaw Sep. 4, 1858 Next generation back Marshall Neal Shaw born March 6, 1779 in Fauquier Co., Virginia and died Nov 21, , 1860 in Auglaize Co., Ohio and buried in Williams/ Craft Cemetery in Auglaize Co.Ohio Wife - Elizabeth born 1782 in Virginia married 1804 in Allen Co., Ohio remember no Auglaize Co., until 1848 and it was taken from 3 counties, Allen Co., Shelby Co. and if I recall Hardin CO.Ohio . They had 10 children as well Parents of Marshall Neal Shaw were Elmer Shaw and Louetta Focht she was born 1878 a d/o Allen Focht and Rebecca Blank. I have only found 1 child for them Marshall Neal.. That is as far back as I have entered on the Shaw line. They married into several lines, but this one is a major one due to Rebecca Blank.
