He was born 1628 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. Anthony I Shaw sailed on the Golden Dolphin in 1648, disembarking at Boston. In Boston he married Alice Stonard (Stannard). Since I found that he was a Quaker sympathizer and he fled to Rhode Island just after a law was passed in 1658 to put Quakers to death in Massachusetts, everything seems to fall in place. The Shaws stayed in Rhode Island at Little Compton until about 1800 when four brothers pioneered to Ohio. You and I may have more information to share. What do you have?
