Shaw, of Arkansas Charged With Forgery at Booneville, Takes Fatal Plunge Through Rock Island Car Window Near Wewoka Shawnee, Okla, Aug.6-(Special)- John H. Shaw, who was under indictment on the charge of forgery in Booneville, Ark, and who was being taken to that place from Greeley, Colo, today leaped from a train running at the rate of 30 miles an hour, near Wewoka, and received injuries from which he died a few hours later in a Shawnee hospital. He was arrested early in the week at Greeley, having forfeited the bond executed after he was arraigned on the indictment. He was in charge of an Arkansas officer who came from Amarillo today on a Choctaw train. Near Wewoka Shaw jumped from the train window. His skull was fractucred in the fall and he received other injuries that proved to be fatal. He was 35 years old and was formerly a respected citizen in his community.
