I know that Brown County was formed in (I believe) 1818 - the same year that Gabriel was born. So, I wonder if some of the records on the family may actually be stored in the original counties that Brown was formed from? I live in MO, near Oklahoma, so it's not real convenient for me to do research in OH. I know there were quite a few Shaw's in and around Brown County in the early 1800's, I just can't find a link for Gabriel to any of them...
