My grandma and I have been looking for his parents for over ten years. She worked on it for about seven or eight years I think before she gave it over to me in 2001. As of last year I still had no leads to who his parents were but this year about Jan or Feb I finally got a lead. My family tree might help. This is not 100% but this is what I have found. http://www.myheritage.com/FP/family-tree.php?s=168991 John Baptist Shaw Sr's brothers William Zacharia Gabriel Hugh Joseph Father: Joseph about 1715 Grandfather: John about 1700 Great Grandfather: John or Joseph about 1685 Great Grandfather had four sons all born probably after 1700 John William James Joseph I believe the grandfather was born in Ireland and that either the four brothers were born in PA or Ireland. I believe that John Baptist's father was born in either PA or MD. This is all the information I have as wives and daughters were not added to the census logs until after 1850.
