With regard to my last post stating that this was not my George B Shaw you found in the 1930 census. I have since heard from cousins in South Africa that they have a photograph in their possession of a well dressed man astride a horse and written on the back is 'Mr George Shaw' California. It would now appear that this photo and your census entry may well indeed be one and the same person, any further info you or any one else is able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
