I have Shaws from South Carolina,too and all I have hit are brickwalls.My gr-gr-gr grandfather was William B. Shaw born Mar. 24, 1801 in South Carolina. His father was William Shaw, my gr-gr-gr-gr grandfather. I'm not sure who his wife was nor where he was born or the year. William' son, William B. Shaw married Jinnat "Jane" McCorkle also born in South Carolina on Feb. 18, 1802. I would love to know more about my gr-gr-gr-gr- grandfather William Shaw,who he married,his other children and where & when he was born. Do anyof these names sound familiar to you?
