He emigrated to the USA from Glasgow on 7 May 1913 aged 26 on board SS Cameronia arriving in New York 25 May 1913. According to the ships manifest he was to stay with his brother John Shaw of 82 Marshal St Milwaukie. I am wondering if there could be a connection here?
