    1. [SHAW-L] SHAWs of TX/AL/GA
    2. Hello... Help...please! I'm looking for my 4th gf and his ancestry. I have the following facts: 1: My ggg gf James SHAW m. Roda FARRAR in Morgan Co., GA, 1 MAR 1820. I believe that he was about 20/23 then. D.O.B. 1797/1800. 2: There was a Henry SHAW who m. a Dorothy BARNETT in Morgan Co., GA, in 1812...his 2nd marriage. Could this be James' father and hence my long-lost 4th gf? 3: My g gf, b. 1855 in Benton (Calhoun Co) AL was named Henry Newton SHAW. Was Henry a coincidental naming? 3: There are both Horace and Homer SHAWs in Morgan Co, GA in the early 1800s that I do not believe are direct, lineal ancestors. . My gf was named Homer and his brother was named Horace in the Greenville, TX area in the late 1800s. Another coincidence? 4: I have been told that the first child born in Greenville, TX, was a SHAW in the 1840/1850 time-frame. It appears that all my SHAWs were in GA c. 1800, AL c. 1850-1880 and the Green- ville, TX area 1880-on. Why did my SHAWs go specifically to the Greenville (Hunt Co.), TX area? 5: My SHAW line m. the FARRAR line more than once. There are FARRARs in the Greenville-area as well. Can a GA, AL and/or a TX SHAW please give me a hand or an idea as to any of this? I have all clues and no real conclusions. Help! :-) Related names/lines in TX: FARRAR, REAVES, McELYEA Related names in AL: FARRAR, REAVES Related names in GA: FARRAR, REAVES, BARNETT. Many thanks for any advice/data/guidance. A.
