    2. George Shaw
    3. Dear Ben, I have nothing on those folks, but that area is home to a restored "Shaw Cabin", which was built c.1813 by Farquhar and Jennet McBean Shaw. The cabin is owned by its' restorer, James Woodrow, and if you care to visit it, I'll contact him to see thst it would be okay. If so, let me know when please. The whole area was called the Scot's Settlement. It is about 8 miles wide by 15 miles long, and was settled by folks bearing 'highland' Scottish surnames. The cabin was pictured in Clan Shaw Society's newsletter, along with an article a couple of years ago Geordie Shaw ----- Original Message ----- From: <MrCassel@aol.com> To: <SHAW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2000 3:14 PM Subject: [SHAW-L] SHAW-DICKEY 1765 > Hello, SHAW people! > > My wife's 4th G-Grandfather, Hamilton SHAW d. in New Lisbon (now plain old > Lisbon), Columbiana Co., OH in 1810. 3. Talk about Scots names! It took me a few minutes to realize that you are probably the George Shaw who was a friend of Jim Shaw of Maryland? If so, "Hello, George, it is good to know you are also watching this board". If you are a "different" George, "Hello, George, I am also a member of CSS who is watching this board".
