Just a matter of names... my gggfather Duncan Shaw was born about 1816 in London, his father could have been born when your George Shaw. Duncan had two siblings John and Mary Anne and one son William George. I think the name of his father should be John, William or George. I know Duncan had some cousins the name of one of them being Selena or something similar (Susanna?). They all migrate but... into Spain. Duncan was Civil and Mining engineer.
