Hi... Would like to compare notes with researchers who have the following GA connections: (1) SHAWs in Morgan, Newton or Henry Co's. (2) from the 1770's-1850's (3) with Christian male names James, William, Henry or Homer (4) affilliated with the BARNETT, FARRAR/ FARROW/FARER or REAVES families (5) or OTHER GA counties having similar names during the same time-period. I'm trying to find the parents/family/origins of my ggg gf James SHAW, who m. my ggg gm Roda FARRAR on 1 MAR, 1820 in Madison, Morgan Co., GA. His ch. were named William, James, Maranda, Delphia and Henry, all b. GA 1827-1836. Roda and her ch. later appeared in Benton (Calhoun Co.), AL in the 1850 census without James. (When/where he d. is a total mystery as are his origin and parents/family) ANY help/suggestion is respectfully requested. I can trace some of my families (NORWOOD, DuBOSE, WHILDEN, WARREN, POWELL, MAGEE, DUCKWORTH, FARRAR, PERRIN, ROYALL, LYGON and PIGGOT), et al, back from 700-1,000 years.
