Benjamin F. Shaw, born 1836 son of Jesse and Mary Shaw. Jesse was my ggrandfather. Lived in Blue River Twp in Hancock County, IN in 1850. He was no longer with the family in the 1860 census when they had moved to Wisconsin. We have been able to find no record of Benjamin after 1850.
The coincidence of names struck me... your Benjamin F. born in 1836 and mine in 1847. There is also a Jesse in my family line, but he was the son of John Jobe, b. 1808 in NC and Jane ?, b. 1809. They were married in Lincoln Co., TN abt. 1831. I guess there is no connection, since names are often used in certain times, but I thought it was interesting. My Benjamin's siblings wound up all over - Texas, VA, AL, and Arkansas. I have no idea where Benjamin went.
