Hi, List!! I actually have two A Shaws. The first one is Amos Shaw. Amos was born 18 Dec 1789 in Ogelthorpe Co, GA. His parents were John Shaw and Mary Waggoner.Amos married Sarah Maxey (daughter of Haile Maxey and Dicey Craghead) on 25 Jun 1812 in Ogelthorpe Co. Amos and Sarah had 11 children: Henry B. Shaw b 17 Oct 1813 GA d 3 Mar 1888 Ellis TX Eva B. Shaw b 20 Nov 1814 d 2 Jul 1815 GA Steven Shaw b 15 Feb 1816 GA d 18 Dec 1860 South Carolina Susan Ann Shaw b 31 Mar 1818 GA George Shaw b 2 Mar 1819 Rev. William M. Shaw b 25 Jul 1821 GA d 14 Dec 1890 Elizabeth Jane Shaw b 21 Apr 1823 GA John Newton Shaw b 2 Jun 1826 LaFayette, Walker Co, GA d 30 Mar 1869 (married Rebecca Anne Jackson 30 Sep 1846) Sarah M. Shaw b 2 Mar 1828 d 25 Mar 1898 GA Louisa F. Shaw b 28 Feb 1831 Amos and Sarah both died in Walker Co, GA, and are buried in Shaw Cemetery. I'm looking for further info on this family.
