    3. Just my two cent's worth. I believe it would be more worthwhile to do it by countries/counties/areas. e.g. My Shaws are from ENG, MA, NB,CAN, ME-- Someone else talked about the John Shaws--I'm descended from 5 of them (the fathers named John named a son John--all descendants of Abraham the original immigrant ancestor)--the information on the John Shaws as it appears on the LDS site is so totally confused as to be useless. I have no interest in a John Shaw from N.Y. or VT or to try to glean a helpful kernel by reading about all the John Shaws. Just my opinion. -- Polly Shaw

    3. Oh, but Polly! Please understand the degree of my desperation in finding that I am not descended from Abraham and John and Persis of olden days. My John and Persis were in New York a hundred or so years later--the Bible tells me so! And I've found nothing else in 40 years! Now that the internet is here, I have hope again! Please don't encourage the group to sway the other way. I see this "alphabet soup" as a new opportunity for me! Just out of curiosity: why are you still interested in the SHAW-L site if you already have documented all the Shaws in your line? Polly Shaw wrote: > Just my two cent's worth. 3. Dear Polly... Oh? Is THAT your opinion? When I noted that your Shaws seem to be from the same places as mine AND you have an opinion as well, I "KNEW" we must be closely related... :^) ASAP this frenetic week, I look forward to tossin' m'Shaw list atche and seein' how many you throw back at me -- be it for confirmation information or even jus' for spite! :^) Good to hear from ye, even if it proves to have been yet another hopefully approached "dead end"... Donald Henry Shaw [Quincy, MA; son of South Boston (same name); son of Harold Cooper Shaw of South Boston, MA; son of William Shaw of Country Down, Ireland... ] ... begotten of Seth, begotten of Abel, begotten of Adam -- and then (at long last!) we jus' done plumb fergotten who it was that did the primary -- "Ur" -- begotten... [Surely, someone must have been besotten! ] :^) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Polly Shaw" <shawp@cais.com> To: <SHAW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, 13 April, 2001 18:21 Subject: [SHAW] Alphabet -- > Just my two cent's worth.
