Eleanor, my ancestor, Warren Shaw, was born in 1808 in Johnstown, NY. I haven't been able to locate 1800 or 1810 census records for Fulton County, but if you can do so, you might find that Warren and Anthony were brothers. My family bible does not list Warren's siblings, but his parents were listed as John and Persis Shaw. I have found no trace of John and Persis in any New York county. Warren Shaw died in Birmingham, Iowa, 3 Feb, 1871. I have no idea why he was there. His wife was Semantha Millington (died 1881 in Ohio) and they married there (Johnstown) in 1833. One of their sons, Rufus Millington Shaw, married Maria Brown Smith in 1839. She was born in Mecca, Trumbull County, Ohio, and their children were born there. They both died in Ohio. I don't have any record of siblings for Rufus. I'm going to put your address in a special place and if I get more information on John and Persis or Warren's siblings, I'll let you know.
