Could that be the Hamilton that is in NY? I am very curious about the first marriage record that reports an A.E. SHAW as being a witness. This is the first SHAW/STEWART connection I have run into in the right time frame. I am looking for the identity of RJ STEWART of Oneida, NY who I believe had a daughter (or possibly granddaughter) named Hattie. Hattie married an Artemus HATCH in Oneida in 1882. In 1886, Artemus ran off with a Lydia SHAW. I have reason to believe that both the SHAW and STEWART families I am looking for went back and forth between NY and Canada, as so many other families of that time frame did. I am looking for the identities of both the SHAW's and the STEWART's. Thanks for any possible help! I have been searching for Lydia for over 10 years, and have been unable to find out anything about her at all.
