Velma, I am in Huntsville, AL which is in Madison Co. in north Alabama.. My Shaw family sojourned in Iredell Co. N.C. before coming to Lawrence Co., (also in north Alabama) in 1819. Originally, they were from Prince Georges and Montgomery Cos, Maryland where they were associated with the Tannehills, Bealls, etc. I have three ancestors in a row named Adamson Tannehill Shaw. Right now I am trying to learn who was the earliest Shaw in my line to have come to Maryland---or where ever. I have been seeing your name for years.
