SILVANUS [JOHN SYLVANUS?]8 SHAW I (EBENEZER7, JOSEPH6, JOSEPH5, JOHN4, ABRAHAM3 SHAWE, ANCESTOR (1), THOMAS2, THOMAS1) was born May 28, 1765 in Abington , Plymouth, Massachusetts, and died January 18, 1852 in Cummington, Hampshire, Massachusetts. He married PERSIS [STODARD] STODDARD November 15, 1792 in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts, daughter of LABAN STODDER and PERSIS WILDER. She was born June 30, 1773 in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts, and died August 13, 1852 in Cummington, Hampshire, Massachusetts. Notes for SILVANUS [JOHN SYLVANUS?] SHAW I: WB: SHAW, Silvanus, ch. Jeannette Shaw Lynch: Sylvanus and Persis came to Cummington in the late 1700s from North Weymouth or Hingham, or Abington. He married POLLY MASON March 5, 1818 in Cummington, Hampshire, Massachusetts, daughter of DAVID MASON and MEHITABLE PRATT. She was born Bet. March 25 - 26, 1795 in Cheshire, Berkshire, Massachusett. Notes for EBENEZER SHAW I: Ebenezer Shaw was possibly born in Cummington, Hampshire, MA. He isn't listed on Weymouth Births. ALONZO "BEN" BENJAMIN12 SHAW, b. Abt. 1876, Goshen, Hampshire, Massachusetts; m. HELEN CLARA THATCHER, October 22, 1901; b. Abt. 1879. Notes for ALONZO "BEN" BENJAMIN SHAW: Alonzo Benjamin (grandfather of Jeannette) didn't want to be a farmer. He studied electrical engineering and worked for GE, then Boston Edison.
