Hi all. I am still desperately searching for any info on my Shaw line. I am looking for info on my great great grandfather, Robert Shaw. I have no idea where he was originally from but he ended up in/around Nanaimo, British Columbia and in/around Sechelt, British Columbia. He married a Native woman who we think was named Mary. They had at least one child named Mary Eliza Shaw. Robert Shaw was said to have been from Hawaii but I do not have any proof of this and don't actually believe it to be true. I have found nothing in Hawaii to support this information. I do have a picture of his daughter, Mary Eliza, and she appears to be more Black than Native but I know for sure that her mother was Native. Robert's daughter, Mary Eliza, married a man named William Blank. They lived in the Nanaimo, B.C. area for most of their lives as far as I can tell.
