I just read your message on the Shaw family from Scotland, I too have a Shaw from Scotland and hope its the same family!! My Thomas Shaw was born in Inverness, Scotland ca 1738 and died 7 December 1805 in Bedford Co., TN. His wife was Elizabeth Lewis, dau. of Thomas Lewis and Mary Moss and they maried in SC and had their children in SC. Hi! This may be the brick wall I am up against could you tell me the children's names who was born in South Carolina. I go back to a John in south Carolina who we think is of Scottish decent he would have been born around 1750 which would be about right for Thomas Shaw.
