Jan, This is also my line. My mother's name was SHAW, her ancestors settling in eastern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We descended from Roger SHAW--the same one that you mentioned. You really need to get a copy of "SHAW RECORDS, a Memorial of Roger SHAW, 1594-1661" by Harriete F. Farwell. It has all of his descendents for several generations listed, with a great deal of information on some of the original immigrants. I found my line in there for 6 generations and then discovered that I was descended from 2 of his sons--Joseph and Benjamin. My gg grandmother was Sally MARDEN, married to David SHAW. They lived in Chester, New Hampshire and are buried there. Sally was the daughter of John MARDEN and Rachel SHAW (who is also a descendent of Roger SHAW). So Roger SHAW appears in my family tree at least 3 times, and I have one whole section of New England ancestors yet to research. Another place to check would be the Hampton, New Hampshire website. It has many of the SHAWs listed as original settlers to New Hampshire. Good luck and let me know if I can help you find anything more.
