Hello listmembers... I have a copy of "The SHAW's and Related Families" by Roy Lewis SHAW, pub. 1976. It has a wealth of data on SHAWs and some of our ancillary families. It covers mostly SHAWs in MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, TX and a few in AR. The dates seem to range from the 1700s to the 1970s. Everyone on the list has been so kind in helping me do my research, I'd like to return the favor. If you'd like me to look-up a few names, I'd be happy to. Please feel free to e-mail me directly, if you'd like. rarecoins1@webtv.net Thanks... Dale Shaw Philadelphia, PA
Dale, I know you will be swamped with requests, but if you can get around to it, could you look up Hugh Shaw and Lena Wates in Guin, Marion County, AL. They are my grandparents but I don't have their dates and know nothing about her family. Hugh was the son of William "Billy) J. Shaw b.24 Aug 1847 in Al, d.23 Mar 1924 in AL and Sarah Ann Gann b. 1847 prob. in AL d. 17 Aug 1911 in Marion Co. AL. My Grandmother Lena is supposed to have had at least one sister. I need her parents. Thanks for looking. Dale, you have a good heart. Thanks for being so generous. Please look and see if you have John and Persis Shaw, 1808 or before. Their son, Warren, was born in Johnstown, New York. Their names are in my family bible as his parents. I have found no trace of them in New York, Connecticut, or Massachusettes. Maybe they moved north with some of the Carolina Shaws? rarecoins1@webtv.net wrote: > Hello listmembers... > I have a copy of "The SHAW's and Related Families" by Roy Lewis SHAW, > pub. 1976. Hi ! is there anything on Charles and Keziah Beall Shaw. I have sons, Alexander, born abt 1776, Zachariah b. 1777, Osborn b. 1792 in Prince Georges MD by census 1776 and 1790 there were 5 males under 16 in 1790, as Osborn was born later, who were the other three? It has been suggested that their names may have been; James, Major and Ralph. There is also a female not named.
