    1. [SHAW] James SHAW/GA 1820
    2. Hi... We're gonna have enough brick walls to build a new SHAW castle in the New World. :-) May I add mine? Still trying to make the connection: James SHAW, b. ca 1790/1800 in ? Family? Parents names? Died bef.1850 GA? AL? Here's what I do know: James SHAW m. Roda FARRAR/FARAR on 1 MAR 1820 in Madison, Morgan Co., GA. (Roda was the d/o John S. FARRAR and Dorcas BARNETT) I have James/Roda in Morgan Co, GA in 1820, DeKalb Co, GA in 1830, can't find them in 1840, in 1850 Roda is head-of-household in Benton, later Calhoun Co., AL with children William, James, Maranda and 2 others that were all b. in GA from 1827 to 1836. NO idea what happened to James SHAW. :-( The names Henry, Homer, Horace and Newton keep recurring in the later generations. There were some Homer and Horace SHAWs in Morgan Co, GA early-mid 1800s, but, I can find no definite connection. I DO believe that they MUST be related somehow--> Names/area/ timeframe. I've had wonderful help and tantalizing clues from other SHAW listmembers, but so far, no "AHA!". The best clues I've had put James' roots as Guilford Co, NC. "No proof", as they say. Can anyone help? Thanks! Dale Shaw Philadelphia, PA "Fide et fortitudine"
