Hi, Alicyne, (What a beautiful name!!!) Thanks for your post, you had some info that I didn't have. This is my line as well. I descend from Amos Shaw and Sarah Maxey's son John Newton Shaw. He married Rebecca Ann Jackson. (you probably have all this) Their 9th child was William Sherman Shaw, who was my great grandfather. He married Mary Elizabeth Jane Crosby (Jenny). Their 5th child was Fred Dinsmore Shaw, my grandpa. I am the daughter of his 5th child with Emelia Elizabeth Boswell. My father's name is George Boswell Shaw. My cousin will kill me if I don't ask you this. Do you know anything about John Newton Shaw's children? Their 4th child, Ellen M. Shaw. Do you have a clue as to what that M stands for? Ellen his her great grandmother. I'm not sure which way your line went, but I promised her anytime I ran across anyone remotely related to us in this line, I'd ask. I'm actually betting it's Maxey, after her grandmother. Well, I'd better run. Thanks again for the info!
