Hello all, For over ten years myself and several others of my family have been trying to extend our mutual Shaw family line, unfortunately we seem to have encountered a major brick wall, perhaps someone out there has a key. Here is the problem, we are looking for information on a Jonathan Shaw and his wife Hannah Leather. Both lived in Holderness, Grafton County, New Hampshire in 1828 - 1834, but before that where? Who were Jonathan's parents? A Family tradition says they were of Scottish ancestry, but no one knows for sure. Unfortunately there were a great many Shaws and Jonathan Shaws in that area at that time, my hope is someone will connect through the Leather name, seems a bit unusual to me.
