Hi Velma, Do you have a marriage date for Joseph Shaw and Sarah Marshall, this is the first time I have come across additional wife for Joseph..some of the children I have born to Rebecca Forbis and Joseph are apparently not all theirs! I have seen some of your information before and it has been very helpful filling in the gaps. Barb Shaw
No, I couldn't find a marriage date for Joseph and Sarah Marshall. I got started with information supplied by Gil Roberts, then went to a family reunion where I got a LOT of living and fairly recent (last three or four generations) information on my very extended family. I then went to Alabama and researched in the Sanford library genealogical information. Right now, I have a lot of information that I am still trying to enter into my data base and some interesting photos, too. If anyone knows of a connection of this extended family having connections with a logging camp, I would be interested. I have a photo of the operation, which I believe came from Gil. I am trying to enter even the rather large extended family because I know how I struggled for so long with no information at all on my Shaw family. I would like to be able to help somebody else avoid that frustration, if possible. I am STILL looking for information on my grandmother, Lena Wates, who married Hugh A. Shaw, son of William (Billy) J. Shaw and Sarah Ann Gann. I cannot find the Wates family in or near Guin, AL!
