I have a John Shaw that was born 1750 in Guilford County, NC. His spouse is Lillis Mitchell; children: Jeremiah Shaw and Martin Shaw (possibly more); Father: Patrick Shaw who came to Guilford Co, NC , from Ireland and died there in 1802. Interesting??? Susan, This is the same Patrick Shaw who is my ancestor and whose purported will I recently posted here. Except that I have John born 1756...have to check on my sources. Thanks for the names of his wife and children. I am descended froom his brother, William, b. 1758 in Ireland, d. 1842 Lynchburg, TN. Other sibs included Hugh, b. 1772, Elizabeth "Betsy" b. 1776, Polly and Nancy.
