I believe this Nathaniel may be the fifth child of Follansbee Shaw and Mary Edmonds but I cannot prove it. Dear Frank and Board Members, Farwell states: Follansbee(5) Shaw (Benjamin4, Edward3, Benjamin2, Roger1) b. 6/5/1789; m. Mary Edmunds and resided in Danville and Weare for some years and finally settled in Newbury as a farmer. [all towns are in New Hampshire] He served in the Revolutionary War in Capt. Coggswell's Co., from Sandown, N.H. in 1775-6. Follansbee Shaw died in Newbury, N.H. in 1838. Children: Edward, Richard, Mary, Sarah, NATHANIEL b. 7/4/1789, William, Betsey, Samuel and David. No further information on Nathaniel is given but it is likely that he was born in New Hampshire. Further, Farwell extends the lines of Edward and Richard (and provides details on the three daughters) but is silent on the remaining four sons, so I suspect that four of the six sons died, including Nathaniel. Sorry that this was not more promising. Happy hunting! Jane L.
