Dick, I don't know, but I kinda doubt it. My great grandparents had strange ways of naming their kids. (Cy was my great uncle). They named my grandfather Fred Dinsmore Shaw. We have been trying to figure out for years where this Dinsmore came from. We finally figured it out. My great grandpa William Sherman Shaw was a mail carrier in Faulkner Co, AR. The man that delivered mail to their farm was Mr. Dinsmore. Now we are betting that uncle Cy was named after the milkman! LOL Actually, Cyrus' wife is still living. I'll ask her if she knows anything. All my Shaws were in Maryland, Georgia and Arkansas, then some of them went out to California. I still have quite a few Shaw's up in the Little Rock area.
