In London but of Inverness origin family Shaw with brothers John, Duncan and MaryAnn. Duncan was Civil and Mining Engineer and enter the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Mary Ann married a sayer name Poole when she was sixteen years old.Their first son became Vice-Consul in Cordoba, Spain. They lived in Camden Town but the parish of Mary Ann before the mariage was St. Margaret (near to the Houses of Parliament). Duncan and Mary Ann were both born 1816-17 in London.
