I am so sorry. I forgot to put that information at the end. Jonathan Smith lived and died in Mecca, Trumbull County, Ohio. I don't know where he was born. I know he was a veteran of the War of 1812. His father, William Smith, was born (1782) in Preston, Connecticut, married to Betsey Wilbur. Her father was Joseph Wilbur, born 1756, in Preston, CT, so she may have been born there, too. William is buried in Grand, Pennsylvania, and Betsey is buried in Mecca, Ohio. Jonathan Smith's wife, Anna Palmer Brown, was born in Griswold, Connecticut, died in East Mecca, Ohio. One of their daughters, Maria Brown Smith, was born/died in Mecca, Ohio. Warren Shaw was born in Johnstown, New York. His parents were John and Persis Shaw. Reverend Shaw started up the Deuryter Church in Fulton County, New York, but I don't know where they were born or where they died. They are the ones I am researching presently. Warren Shaw's wife, Samantha Millington, was born in New York--(perhaps in Russia, Herkimer County,since her father, Deacon Nathan Millington, was buried there, in 1853). Warren and Samantha's son--one of them--died in Mecca, Ohio. His wife, Maria Brown Smith also died in Ohio--is buried in Mecca. Their descendents also lived in and around Mecca--except for me and my daughters. "Patricia H.
