It has marriages going back that far. Perhaps your ex-wife and/or daughter's marriages are listed. You will then know their married names and can check the Seattle and surrounding areas phone books to see if they stayed in the area. www.digitalarchives.wa.gov I hope you find them! mary lou Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I can't help much from here in UK, but I did a quick search of the USA White Pages and came up with: Geraldine TULLOS Owner of company named Joe K. Tullos Situated in Liberty, Texas. Full address, phone number, and even a map showing you how to find the company was listed with the entry. Bearing in mind that your daughters may well ahve married names by now, maybe they are also in Texas? Best wishes Margaret

Hi James, I checked online for Washington State Marriage Records: Here is the URL: http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/default.aspx 1. Yvonne Shaw - there were two, but they did give middle names: A. Title: Pierce Marriage Records County: Pierce Name: Marriage Records groom's name: MAEDA WALLY SHIZUO county: Pierce marriage date: 09/25/1993 bride's name: SHAW YVONNE KAY auditor file number: 9309146018-0 recording date: 9/14/1993 document type: Marriage Certificate B. ** Title: Snohomish Marriage Records County: Snohomish Name: Marriage Records groom's name: MCDOWELL EDWIN ROBERT county: Snohomish marriage date: bride's name: SHAW YVONNE FLORENCE auditor file number: 8808124022-0 recording date: 8/12/1988 document type: MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE There was a Yvonne Shaw who died in 1968 but she was born in 1929 - so that was not your daughter. Those were the only hits at that site. You might try some other sites, also. (see my recommendation below) You can repeat the same for you other two daughters at that site - to see if any of the ones who turn up are your daughters. I am also copying this to the Spokane rootsweb site. You might sign up for the Spokane Rootsweb site and post there. Good Luck! My sister found me after 40 years...so I pray you will be reunited with your daughters. Author: bonshawdrum Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.shaw/6760/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I am searching for information on my great grandfather Matthew Stanley Shaw Irving. He was born 23 Aug 1883, in either Dornock, Dumfrieshire, Scotland, or Bolton, Lancashire, England. He emigrated to Canada @ 1904 and was killed at Ypres, Belgium during WWI, 27/28 Jul 1917. I am trying to find his parents, if possible. He told my grandfather (his son) that his parents' names had been Matthew Irving and Lucy Shaw. On his attestation papers when signing up for service in Canada, he lists his birthplace as Scotland, but I since have found information that leads me to believe that he may have been born in Bolton instead. I have located a birth certificate from that area which lists a Matthew Stanley Shaw (no Irving) born on the same day. The certificate lists the parents as Leonard Shaw (sea captain) and Lucy Shaw, formerly Philps (spelling error?). This matches the mother's name that Matthew S.S. Irving related to my grandfather. I also have found two census reports, from 1891 and 1901, listing the household of a Matthew Irving from Withington, Lancashire. The 1891 report lists a Matthew Stanley Shaw as a member of the household, age 7, listed as "nephew". The 1901 report lists a Matthew S Irving, age 17, listed as "son". Between these two reports, I'm beginning to think my gr. grandfather was born a Shaw, and was adopted by the Matthew Irving from Withington. This would make his parents' names Matthew Irving and Lucy Shaw, as he related himself. If anyone has any information on the Leonard and Lucy Shaw (nee Philps) discussed here, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Hi Patsy, You need to find a *male* in your line who is a SPIVEY - that would be your Granddad Spivey or one of his SONS or grand SONS. DNA for Spivey would be on a Y chromosome which only MALES have. (Boys are XY - x from Mom and Y from Dad; Girls are XX - x from Mom and X from Dad; therefore Dad's determine the sex of the child).
