I still have not been able to get new information about William Shaw and Ann Allison. I did come across a family history that was written in 1980 by one of Milton Alexander's descentants and it provided some good stories that had been passed down through the generations. Also, 2 relatives of Milton's became Daughters of the American Revolution in 1972 and I used their applications to complete my recent one. Have you seen Fred Hughes' map of Guilford County landowners prior to 1800? I found one at my local LDS research center and have ordered one through Guilford genealogical society for $10.
