    2. Don and Ruth Kern
    3. Hello, Brenda -- Would you please check whether any of your SHAW information could help locate parents of John and Ann Rogerson Shaw. John was born 7 December 1796 at Cottingham, Yorkshire, died 1 July 1876 in Canada. Ann was born 1799 at Sutton near Hull, Yorkshire, died 1894 at Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada. So far we have anot confirmed parents of either John or Ann, though one of our family may have a lead through the BOOTH name, which also appears on your list for Yorkshire. John and Ann had 13 children, some born in England and some in Canada. They emigrated about 1829. If you find a possible parent, I would certainly be interested. Thank you for writing the list. 3. About a month or so ago I sent a site that was about the Canadian Archives "Home Children". There were several SHAWS on the list in that site. If anyone is interested in checking it again I will resend it. The children came from England to Canada and then some came into the USA from there. It also lists the ships they came over on and further information on how to gain more information. Victoria Brittain Allen

    1. [SHAW-L] William Sandford Shaw of Wake County, NC
    2. I am looking for William Sandford Shaw of Wake County, NC. Had a brother Peyton R. Shaw. Have lots of info on William and his family, will, etc. He married Sarah (Sallie) Massey from Anderson County, SC (have lots of info on her side), but cannot find his mother/father and other sibling info. He was born 30 May 1807 in Wake County, NC and died 6 April 1888 in Anderson County, SC. This is my ggg-Grandfather. William and Sarah had the following children between 7 April 1830 and 1854 - Silas Peyton (Peton), Louisa, Jane, Emily, William F., Melinda, Martha, Letitia, James L., Nancy L., Alex and Joseph. Silas Peton was my gg-Grandfather. These children dispersed from SC to Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. Have info on who they married, their children, etc. Like I said I have lots of information from William Sandford on down, but I have just hit a brick wall when it comes to going back any farther than William Sandford Shaw. Any help is greatly appreciated! CShaw

    2. DONNA HAMM
    3. Actually, I am looking for a Thomas Shaw, born in 1794, who married Elizabeth Graybeal from Ashe County. I have found over the internet in Guilford some Shaws whose names match some I have -- such as Doctor Newton Shaw (Doctor is his name) -- who is one of my Thomas' children. That is why I wondered if any of yours might connect. Do you know if Robert and Elizabeth's son, Thomas, might be the one I am looking for? Other children of my Thomas were Mary A. Shaw, William Shaw, John Shaw, Solomon Shaw (my gggrandfather), and Alfred Shaw. I don't have a lot of information on them yet, but I am still digging. I wish I could make a connection somewhere. If I find anything I think you can use, I will send it your way. 3. How I wish! But I don't think so. I don't have a John Job, or a Thomas, or a Joseph. Here's what I have: Johnny Warren Shaw, b. 2 Feb, 1865, his father: Rufus Millington Shaw, 10 Dec, 1835, his father: Warren Shaw, 2 April, 1808. the family bible shows his name was Johnny, not John. He was born and died in Cortland, Ohio. Rufus died in Cortland, but was born somewhere else, we think (out of state). Maybe they came from Connecticut.
