I am looking for Shaw immigrants who would have been lineage to Robert Shaw of Sumner Co. TN. There is also a James Shaw in the early history of what is now Nashville TN but I haven't been able to tie him to Robert. Robert Shaw is mentioned in a book by Walter Durham that is about the early frontier of Middle Tennessee. If you know of connections I sure would appreciate some help. Robert has been a brick wall for me. His wife Elizabeth Hamilton has been a brick wall back to her father Thomas Hamilton and mother Jane McCracken of Guilford Co., NC. Both were from either Ireland or Scotland.
