Main Street, Rutland, VT, 05701 Ph: (802) 773-8229 The actual title is "The SHAWS and Related Families" by Roy Louis SHAW. Pub 1976 by Bowman, Route 1, Atlanta, GA, 75551. That's probably a "vanity publisher". My copy is used but nice condition. They charged me $40.00 in 1996 for it. I'm still looking through the book for your George and Polly. I'll be in touch soon. 1. [SHAW] Shaw Book Look Ups
    2. Dale, I have been searching for a Hugh A. Shaw who came with parents to Maryland, he was quite young. Parents are unknown as well as where they came from. He had several children, unknown wife, only know 1 son's name, Victor, was said that he was the only child who stayed in Pipe Creek, Maryland, the others moved to N & S Carolina. Victor had 17 children, his son William was born in 1770 Frederick-town, MD. he married Nancy Waddel (?sp) in 1802 from here on I pretty much know. Hugh A was born about 1692 and came to America in 1700, Victor was born in 1740, he and Sarah had 17 children, supposedly 11 boys and 6 girls. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for doing this for so many! Mary K mjones9908@aol.com

    3. Dale, you have a good heart. Thanks for being so generous. Please look and see if you have John and Persis Shaw, 1808 or before. Their son, Warren, was born in Johnstown, New York. Their names are in my family bible as his parents. I have found no trace of them in New York, Connecticut, or Massachusettes. Maybe they moved north with some of the Carolina Shaws? rarecoins1@webtv.net wrote: > Hello listmembers... > I have a copy of "The SHAW's and Related Families" by Roy Lewis SHAW, > pub. 1976. 1. [SHAW] "SHAW" family book look-ups
    2. Hello listmembers... I have a copy of "The SHAW's and Related Families" by Roy Lewis SHAW, pub. 1976. It has a wealth of data on SHAWs and some of our ancillary families. It covers mostly SHAWs in MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, TX and a few in AR. The dates seem to range from the 1700s to the 1970s. Everyone on the list has been so kind in helping me do my research, I'd like to return the favor. If you'd like me to look-up a few names, I'd be happy to. Please feel free to e-mail me directly, if you'd like. rarecoins1@webtv.net Thanks... Dale Shaw Philadelphia, PA

    3. Hi, Dale! I have a lookup request, although it may not be included in your book. This Shaw was born in GA, and moved to AR with her family. Her name is Ellen M. Shaw, daughter of Jack (john) Newton Shaw. My question? What does that M stand for? None of us cousins have anything that tells what it is...we all have ideas and are taking bets. Could you check in your book for me and see if she is there, please? Thanks! OH, by the way...you aren't related to David Shaw in Slippery Rock, are you? Have a good week!
