    3. Betty, I just have to ask about your family. I missed earlier messages. I've been looking for John and Persis Shaw whose son was born in Johnstown, New York in 1808. His name was Warren Shaw. He married Semantha Millington. I don't know any of his brothers or sons, except for one: a son, Rufus Millington Shaw who married Maria Smith. One of their sons was Johnny Shaw, my great grandfather. Warren Shaw was buried in Iowa. I don't know why. Rufus Shaw was buried in Trumbull County, Ohio, as was Johnny Shaw, and his daughter, Almira Marie Shaw (Falkner) (my grandmother. If any of these names sound familiar, please write and I can give you more dates. Carole Albert Benishek wrote: > Dear Eleanor, > I'm sorry but none of those names are found in my 'SHAW' family. 3. My ancestor, Warren Shaw, was born in 1808, in Johnstown, New York. His name is in the family bible. It says his parents were John and Persis. There are no dates for them. I've been looking for them for a long time. I've searched the Rootsweb data for several counties all over New York, and some in Vermont & Connecticut, but I haven't looked in Blenheim. I will do so now. Meanwhile, check and see if you can find any information for yourself in the Johnstown, Fulton County, area. Warren and Anthony could have been brothers. Please let me know if you find that Anthony's parents were John and Persis. EGarretson@aol.com wrote: > Hello, > > I am new on the rootsweb as of today.
