Paul, what data do you have on Shaw's in N.C. so far? I'm looking for those in Warren and Halifax Co's in the latter 19th Century, say 1855-1880? Do you know of Littleton, NC co-founder and hotel owner Jesse L. Shaw? I am looking for the ancestors of Charles Josuah Shaw who was married to Melissa Emeline Porter. His father is Nicolas Shaw and I am at a dead end at that point. Nicolas was born sometime around 1822 and died in Cedar Springs Michigan in 1894. I believe he was from New York. He was married to Matilda Briggs. If you have any information to share on these Shwas I would greatly appreciate it. Elizabeth A. Townes, CPA P. O. Impossible to believe this, but it happened, right in my own front yard ! About a year ago, our nice neighbors moved in, just across the street from us. She was doing genealogy and just recently got all her loose ends tied together. Of course, we talked genealogy but only today, when my husband came from their home with the news that they had an Ebenezer Shaw in her records that I had previously mentioned Ebenezer Townsend Shaw (1780-1845, NH & ME) in my family. Yep, we are related !! And neighbors !! I have a newspaper article about Mahala Shaw Edgecomb that has her father's name in it. How about that??????????????????????????? A delighted Barbara D'Arche

TRying to trace my ggrandmother, Anna Patterson Shaw, she married a William John Shaw, lived near Dunloy and died in June 1922.Supposedly she was Presbyterian then changed to Plymouth Brethern. I've written to Dunloy Presbyterian church with no response. A few family members survive in North Ireland Cty Antrim, but they are old and know little.Supposedly she was buried in Coleraine. Could SKS help me with the next step to take to obtain information? Betty elzk1@Juno.com
