While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this wedding announcement, which might be of some interest to someone on this list. Nancy Giles WORD OF MARRIAGE IS TOLD AT PARTY The "Cat was out of the bag" at the home of Mr and Mrs. John W. Sharp, of 818 Elma street yesterday evening when, at a delightfully arranged affair, formal announcement was made of the marriage in Grangefield, Idaho, June 11, of their charming daughter, Miss Eva Blanche Sharp, to Harry C. Billings of Gary, Indiana. The wedding culminated a romance which had its inception at the University of Idaho while both were students there. Mr. Billings graduated with the class of 1926 while his bride has just completed her junior year. For the ceremony, which was read at 6 o'clock in the evening, the bride wore a smart gray ensemble, traveling frock and white hat. Mr and Mrs. Billings then left for Richfield, Idaho, where they were entertained as the houseguests of the bridegroom's parents, Mr and Mrs. W. E. Billings. After a brief stay there and at Salt Lake City, Mr. H. C. Billings returned to Gary, Indiana where he is employed with the American Bridge company and Mrs. Billings came to Ontario for a visit with her parents before joining her husband in the new home he is preparing for her. Mr. Billings is a member of the Sigma XI and Sigma Tau National fraternities and of the Beta Chi fraternity at the University of Idaho. (I did not copy the comments about the house decorations and party as they included no further genealogical information and were quite lengthy). The Ontario Record, Ontario, California July 14, 1926
