Hi All, Have a question for everyone...and yes, the only stupid question is the one that you do not ask also. Am sending this to all four lists so I can get a "scientific" answer to my question. I have some ancestors who departed Ireland, headed for the colonies. Enroute (middle of the Atlantic Ocean for all I know) these ancestors have a son born to them. Now where is the child's place of birth listed? As the vessel, or the home port of the vessel, or the port that the vessel departed Ireland, or the port of entry in the Colonies, or the lat/long in the Atlantic Ocean (if this was even recorded)?
