I too have an ancestor who was born on the Atlantic. His father had died on the voyage and we have listed his place of birth Atlantic Ocean and his father's place of death as Atlantic Ocean. We don't know what the name of the ship was other than it came into Charleston S.C. in 1789. This was a Craig relation. Not in my Sharp line.
