While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this article, which might be of some interest to someone on this list. Nancy Giles Celebrate Silver Wedding At Dinner Mr and Mrs. J. W. Sharp Honored At Affair Honoring Mr and Mrs. J. W. Sharp of 818 Elna street on the occasion of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. H. C. Billings, entertained at dinner Saturday evening (16 Nov) at their home, 545 East A street. Silver motif was carried out successfully in all the table appointments for the occasion. The centerpiece as well as the table service was designed in silver and comprised a miniature bride and groom standing on a silver pedestal under an arch of silver ribbon. On the ribbon the number "25" was significant of the occasion. Mixed flowers in autumn colors added to the other rooms of the home. Following the dinner the evening was spent socially. Included in the guests were Mr and Mrs. W. MacIntosh, recently of Lewiston, Ida., and Mr and Mrs. W. H. Lillibridge of Pomona, who have been friends of the Sharps for many years. Other guests included Mr and Mrs. W. E. Billings, Miss Winifred MacIntosh, George MacIntosh, Merlin MacIntosh. Besides Mrs. H. C. Billings, there are four other children of the Sharp's, all of whom were present at the affair Saturday evening. They are Miss Olive Sharp, James Sharp, Joe Sharp, of Los Angeles and Harold Sharp.
