My Francis Marion and his brother Moses rode to Latexo, Houston Co TX on their horses to work in the sawmill, soon after the Civil War. Francis married Martha Davis Porter, a widow, with a small child in Natacthes? LA in the spring before the end of the war. All of their children were born in TX. They are buried in Crockett, Houston Co TX with some of their children. One of their sons was named Leonard Hampton so there may be a connection in the list of URLs that I received that had a Leonard and also a Hampton. LH was my grandfather, but he used the name Stell - even on the census in 1910 or 1920 - maybe both. I have forgotten. I tried the leads from you and unfortunately I am still looking at that brick wall. Thanks so much for trying. Maybe it will lead to something later. Thanks again. sd
